Sergio Robles - Formal Letter

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to protest about the MP3 that I bought on your website Gadgets.I bought it yesterday and i am very angry about the product I received and I believe that we will arrive to a treat.

First, I paid  30$ for the S3 model, but you sent me the S1 model that costs 15$ and I know it because it doesn't look like the S3 I asked for, but it looks like the S1.

Secondly, when I try to turn on the MP3 it says me that has low battery and I cant charge it because the charger that I have  is the S3 charger. In my opinion an employee made a mistake and without any bad intention he puts the S3 charger in a package of a S1 and sent it to me.

Finally,I would like to say that the package arrived late and I had to wait for it for two or three hours. But this doesn’t supposed a problem because I didn’t  have hurry.

In conclusion, I don’t got for what I paid and the truth is that I am disappointed with Gadgets.I believe that you should  return my money to me or send me another MP3,but now a good one.

Yours faithfully,

Nathan Drake

Formal letter_Anna García Montagudo

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in order to complain about an MP3 Player that I purchased last Friday on “Gadgets” your website.
I am a habitual consumer so this is not my first time buying on your website. I have already obtained different gadgets and I was always fulfilled. In this case, the MP3 that I have acquired on 1st November 2019 is defective.
First of all, when I use the MP3 for ten minutes, it turns off without any reason. Moreover, when I connect my headphones the music stops working. Lastly, the first time that I opened the MP3 it had the screen broken, hence I am so disenchanted.
Eventually, I would like to have a refund or replacement of the defective device at the earliest.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,

Dafne Young

We have the chance to interview Steve Jobs, an American business magnate, entrepreneur, industrial designer, investor, and media proprietor, more known as the founder of Apple.
Dafne: What was your favorite subject at high school?
Steve: I love numbers and solving math problems, so, my favorites subjects were mathematics, physics, and technology.
Dafne: When you were a child, did you like electronics and gadgets?
Steve:  Yes, I really appreciate electronics; in fact, I joined a club called “Hewlett-Packard Explorer Club ", where different engineers showed their new products.
Dafne:  So, when did you realized that you want to work with electronics
Steve: When I was a kid, in concrete when I saw a computer for the first time at the age of 12. There I realized that computers were my life.
Dafne: I heard that you quit university. What is due to this fact?
Steve: That is true; I had to left university at six months due to the high prices of his studies.
Dafne:  Tell us about the beginnings of Apple
Steve:  That is curious; I started Apple with my friend and my workmate Steve Wozniak at my garage and then we sold it.
Dafne: Oh, that is interesting! I would like to hear more about you and your life but we don’t have enough time.
Steve: It is not a problem; we can meet in other interview, thank you so much.

INTERVIEW - Mireia Vallcorba

Mireia: Today we have the pleasure to talk with Steve Jobs, one of the best businessmen and the founder of Apple. Good afternoon Steve!
Steve Jobs: Good afternoon! Nice to be here,
Mireia: It's amazing how you came to the leadership of this company so soon.
Steve Jobs: Well, the reality is that I started from an early age to be interested in all this world of numbers, informatics engineering and computer science. Even though, it wasn’t until 1976 when Apple Computer Company was born. Since there, I have worked hardly to be where I am.
Mireia: And how is to manage a team as big as yours?
Steve Jobs: It may seem so difficult, but the truth is that, when you work with people who enjoy what they do and always give their best for the others, things are easier.
Mireia: It’s good for society to be able to listen to you and learn from you. Thank you very much for coming.
Steve Jobs: I'm very glad to hear that, see you soon!

LETTER - Mireia Vallcorba

Dear Sir/Madam.
I am writing to complain about an mp3 player I bought from your website last Friday.
At first, despite the fact that the sound was very poor, I downloaded some songs, I recorded them to the MP3 player, and it worked very well. After a few days, the sound improved, but then again it became very weak and now I can hardly hear anything.
In addition to that, I am also disappointed with the battery life. According to the features written on your website, the battery was supposed to last between three and four days. Nevertheless, it barely lasted me one day.
In conclusion, I feel very disillusioned with the sound and the life battery. To resolve the problem, I will be very grateful if you could replace this faulty MP3 player with a new one as soon as possible.

Job interview - Pau fabà Ubach

JOB INTERVIEW

April is applying for a sports trainer job in the CAMPUS U.S. She has been selected in the first level and now she’s going to have an interview with the executive director.

Interviewer: Good morning April. I hope you could find the location easily.

April: Hello, good morning. Yes, this place is a bit hidden, though I managed to arrive.

Interviewer: Perfect, so, if you agree, we are going to start with the interview.

April: Fine.

Interviewer: Firstly, why are you interested in working with us?

April: I really want to be part of this project because I’ve always loved sports and at the same time I feel very connected with your model. Taking this commitment with you would be a very good opportunity to link my sports passion and my aptitude to treat with people.

Interviewer: Which personal and professional skills can you offer to the project?

April: In my point of view –besides the football and rugby formation attached to the résumé– I have a really professional treatment with the costumers, as well as a close and specialised attention. I also have leadership skills so I’m likely to work in a team. In addition, I am able to work under pressure.

Interviewer: You mentioned you know how does our project work. Can you tell me two basic principles of our methodology?

April: Of course. In one hand, it is very interesting the way you give the camp staff different objectives. I am very goal-oriented and have excellent multi-task skills, so I would perfectly deal with this point. On the other hand, I appreciate very much and I believe it’s a reference how you teach the campers, boosting both their sports technique and sociable skills. I believe it’s a referenceThis point fits very well with my idea of efficient work.

Interviewer: Well, so that was all. Thank you very much for your time. We’ll call you if you pass this selection step.

April: Your welcome, have a nice day.

Paula Díaz - covering letter

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to apply for a job with CAMP U.S. for a contract of six, eight or twelve months which I saw advertised on the page www.personnelcusa.com.

I am seventeen years old and at present I am not working. I have been looking for a job for a long time and this summer job seems ideal for me. Although I don’t have much experience as a monitor camp, this last summer I passed the FCE exam and I have been living all my life in Barcelona which means that I can speak fluently English and Spanish.
Apart from this, I am a basketball player and I love all type of sports. With regard to artistic aspects, I think that I am a creative person. I know how to play the piano and sing, I also like to draw and create things, and to take pictures. I could say that I have creative qualities.
Furthermore, I would be grateful working with these kids that does not have the same privilege as anyone rich kid.

I feel I would be suitable for the job because when I was young I went to a lot of summer camps and I know how to cooperate with people in this situations. I hope you will consider my application. I am available to attend an interview whenever you say

Yours faithfully,
Paula

Letter of complaint - Pau Fabà Ubach

Letter of complaint - Pau Fabà Ubach

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this email to complain about a product I bought last Friday, November the 8th, at your online store Gadgets. The product in particular is an MP3 Player which, as far as I’m concerned, should be able to play all .mp3 files. In this case, the device is not only unable to reproduce some of them, moreover, it does not recognize new audio archives added via SD card.

In my opinion, an appropriate device of these characteristics should be designed to satisfy the main purpose of its existence: listening to music. With the problem I have, this turns out to be not as properly as I would like to. The main reason is that I can not listen to the play-lists I make in the correct order. Some songs appear to be deleted. Due to this, they can vary from a very intense heavy metal song to a relaxing and chill out theme, breaking the unifying thread of the songs list.

In addition, not being able to use the SD card makes it even more useless. I basically use the device to listen to music whenever I go outside and it is easier for me to have different removable cards which I can carry rather than depending on having a computer to pass new songs every time I want to change them (it is remarkable to say that the player supports a maximum of approximately 200 songs).

For the aforementioned reasons, it would be a great measure to have my MP3 Player fixed as soon as possible. If that is not an option, a refund would ultimately be a fair compensation.

Yours faithfully,

Pau Fabà Ubach

Formal Letter - David Ortiz

Dear Sir/Madam,

The matter of this letter concerns one of your products, an MP3 player. I have experienced some issues while using it, something I would have never expected coming from a product bought in Gadgets.

To begin with, the item itself is unable to perform its usual functions, therefore, being completely useless. The issue might be related to the buttons of the device as, whenever I press the play button, the song selected does not sounds, in fact, nothing happens. This scenario also applies to all of the other buttons the MP3 player has.

As far as I am concerned, this might be the only problem the product has. However, is unacceptable to sell such a malfunctioning device. It amazes me the bravery the company has had in order to be able to sell this unserviceable box to such a faithful customer.

To sum up, I will not tolerate this offense upon me, as an apology I demand a complete refund of the product. Nonetheless, if this apology is not made, I will take legal actions as a mandatory attitude. I will await your response regarding my case.

Yours faithfully,
Karen Karisma.

Interview - David Ortiz

Interviewer: Good morning, please take a seat. The interview will start immediately.
Interviewee: Good morning, thank you for giving me the chance to work here. You may begin with the questions, please.
Interviewer: To begin with, we would like to ask for your previous job experiences.
Interviewee: I have worked at some part-time jobs while studying economies. Shortly after graduating I started working as an accountant for an assurances company. However, after a couple of years I got tired and I am now looking for a job I enjoy doing.
Interviewer: Do you have any type of experience working with children?
Interviewee: Yes, I do. One of my part-time jobs was as a teacher at the middle-school I attended, I did classes of mathematics to sixth-graders.
Interviewer: Could you specify some of your interests that could benefit the charity?
Interviewee: I am really into photography and I tend to take some walks on the weekends with my camera to develop this passion I have. Furthermore, I am keen on sharing all the knowledge I have gathered during all these years I have been doing photography.
Interviewer: Which is your current level of English?
Interviewee: I have the Advanced Certificate and I am currently studying for the Proficiency. I, also, have lived in Great Britain for three years.
Interviewer: You have already stated some, but could you tell us more reasons to work with us?
Interviewee: I am really talkative, so I always appreciate any opportunity I have to start a conversation. Children often talk with me for hours and I cherish every kid I have had the opportunity to talk with.
Interviewer: Perfect, that is all we wanted to know for now. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Interviewee: Again, I really appreciate the opportunity you have given me to work here, at CAMP U.S. I will wait for your answer.
