Many people who drink alcohol or smoke may be unaware of what those substances really are. Lots governments and some of us have agreed that its forbidden to take any types of drugs as they are dangerous for our body, but aren’t alcohol and tobacco drugs as well? I back up the initiative of making alcohol and tobacco illegal substances. 

One reason of banning those substances is that they are really dangerous when taken in a considerable amount. Nonetheless, they have been normalized as humans have been taking alcohol and smoking for centuries so our attitude towards them is one of tranquillity.

Another reason is the market behind tobacco and alcohol. Huge companies are behind marks such as Marlboro or Heineken and they make lots of advertisements to clean their image in order to avoid alcohol and tobacco being related to addictive substances.

So, alcohol and tobacco are addictive substances sold as they are not and, since we have agreed that addictive substances should be illegal alcohol and tobacco should be considered one as well.
